Refolding and Folding Life Untold Mysteries.

How has life unfolded to you as per your level of exposure??

As I sit here with pen and paper in hand, I reflect on the week that has passed. Another day, Month and Year has found me, and it is time to pause and glean the wisdom that I have earned through my effort. I am reminded of the wise words of Takim Edu who reminds us that goals are only useful when they guide us to specific behaviours that are easier to do. Simply foc quickusing on doing Behaviour X is not enough; we must find ways to make Behaviour X easier to do.It is time to relax, to let my mind Wonder, and to plant the seeds of wisdom that will saturate the weeks ahead.

But how can we make a behaviour easier to do? The answer lies in making it automatic. When a behaviour is reinforced, remembered, and repeated, it becomes second nature. If we want to turn a healthy habit into our new normal, we must pair it with a reward, plant cues to remind us to do it, and relentlessly repeat it. As I close my eyes, I imagine one habit I have been struggling with. I let my body relax and imagine pairing that habit with another action that would make it seamless. Perhaps I could start taking my vitamins with a delicious cup of tea, or dance to music while doing the dishes. If clutter is my challenge, then I ask myself what would make decluttering pleasurable. Maybe I could video chat with a friend while we both tackle the same task. The difference between a habit we abandon and one that becomes automatic is having a system to make it sustainable.
As I spend a few more moments breathing and imagining, I realize that the key to sustainable habits lies in finding joy in the process. It's not about forcing ourselves to do something that feels like a chore. It's about finding ways to make it enjoyable, rewarding, and fulfilling. But as if Last week is behind me now, and I turn the page to open a new chapter.
As I do, I am reminded of Rumi's words: "Don't be satisfied with stories...unfold your own myth." I realize that I am the one writing the story of my life, and it is up to me to make it a fabulous one.
I pick up my pen once more, determined to write my own "once upon a time". With every word, I am creating a system for sustainable habits, one that will guide me towards the life I want to lead; a life full of joy, fulfilment, and meaning is meant to unfold, refold and fold different mysteries in our lives.
